Led by the Corrales Society of Artists,
The “Galloping Goats” Project
Inspiration for the project
CSA President Jenn Noel drew inspiration from 'A Trail of Painted Ponies' to create this fun, collaborative project that brings together Corrales’ small business community and local artists.
11 metal fabricated goats were commissioned by local artists Pat and Justin Kirby, then distributed to 10 businesses and the Corrales Elementary School. Business owners who needed some creative assistance were paired up with Corrales Society of Artist members to help decorate.
In late July, the goats were on display! Each one will sit in front of their creator’s business until the next CSA Art in the Park Event, where they will go home with their lucky auction winners. The online auction for these colorful kids will go live during the first day of the Corrales Harvest Festival, Saturday, September 28th. Check back on this page to place your bids!
The funds from this auction will be used to support community organizations in the arts, and future community led projects in our Village: a collaborative effort to promote education and safety for our equestrian community in partnership with CSA, CHAMP and other organizations.
Bidding is now closed! Thank you to Corrales Society of Artists, those who decorated goats and those who bid and gave each goat a new home!
