Corrales has a rich history, with recognized cultural and historic properties throughout the Village.

A Self-Guided Tour

Brought to you by Corrales Historical Society

Corrales Historical Society is a nonprofit organization which promotes greater appreciation for and better understanding of the history and traditions of the centuries-old community of Corrales, New Mexico and its residents of yesterday and today.

Corrales Historical Society and its Historic Plaque Committee have put together an incredible, informational tour of our Historic Landmarks. Their volunteers have done amazing work in documenting each location in this self-guided walking tour, with detailed information about each property and its history. These tours include information about the families and founders who built them, as well as their many uses over the years that have contributed to our Village’s cultural heritage. You can find more information about the tour, and where to pick up maps, on the Corrales Historical Society website by clicking the button below!

The photos above are a preview of some of the Historic Properties on the tour. We are grateful to showcase the stunning photography of Sandra Corless on our website. Sandra retains the copyright to these beautiful images, and has graciously allowed Corrales MainStreet to display them to promote the Corrales Historical Society and its Historical Walking Tour. We are deeply grateful for CHS and Sandra’s generosity in sharing these captivating photos, and we invite you to explore the rich history of our community through their lens. We encourage you to learn more through the Corrales Historical Society’s website: https://www.corraleshistory.org/

Want to continue to support CHS? You can become a member of their organization, or make a donation to help them continue to preserve the Old Church and preserve our Village’s rich history and it’s traditions!
